Hot galvanization, also known as hot-dip galvanizing, is a widely used anti-corrosion metal coating process. Steel plates and coils produced by hot-dip galvanizing process mainly include hot-dip pure zinc (GI) and hot-dip galvanized ferroalloy (GA). When the steel coils through the zinc pot, the surface coated with liquid zinc, the zinc layer crystallized in the process of natural solidification, that is the so-called zinc spangles, is a kind of surface topography of hot-dip galvanizing steel plate &coil.

The size, brightness and surface appearance of zinc spangles depend on many factors, but it is mainly related to zinc layer composition and cooling methods. In order to produce zinc spangles meets the requirements, it is necessary to reduce the solidification temperature of zinc solution.
